Hello!!
To the meeting in Wolfsburg this year, are you going to cheat people again, with the prices you give for various things. Last year you picked a 1980 convertible as the oldest present, but mine is from 1979. But off course I am not member of the planning committe as the owner of the 1980 convertible. This must be the reason for the cheating, or shall we call it a very special kind of german sportmansship.. The behaviour of the people involved in this affair, was for them very imbarrasing. I really hope the owner of the 1980 convertible can look at himself in the mirror, I could not, if I was him.
Regards
Bo Christiansen

Dear Bo!

I wasn't a jury member last year but I'm sure it was no one's intent to award a convertible the oldest one that actually wasn't. If a car was awarded unrightfully I don't believe that this happened attentionally and I'm feeling sorry for that.

I don't know if you complained right after the award was given and what the jury's reaction was. Anyway, one year after it's hard to understand if and how this happened.

If you'd like to discuss this further please get in touch with us: [email]info@golf1-ig.de[/email

Best regards,

Dirk Weinhardt

Hello BC,

I wanted to respond on your scribing in the forum but it was closed already.
in the first grade: nice you came all the way from Denmak tot Wolfsburg last year!
I know the reason for what happened last year. This category of 'oldest cabrio' wasn't an official category actually. At the meeting this category is made for fun, to thank the owner of that cabrio on an original way for his works he did for the meeting. He did a lot's of work and the organisation wanted to thank him. Instead of giving him flowers our so, they made a new category for 'the oldest cabrio with the gazelle interior." This was because the owner of that cabrio searched for over 9 years to the original seats for his cabrio.
So this category has nothing to do with a really oldest cabrio our so. It has nothing to do with "german sportmanship", "cheating" of "being an member or not". And i think if you talked about it with the organisation about that, you've known about this 'category.'
For myself i am a dutchman, and i really feel home in Wolfsburg. Always nice chats with my German friends. And i won a price for "schonster golf mit plastik stossstangen", this price i had last year but also the year earlier, but i wasn't a club member at the moment, and i'm not a German!
Also, don't cheat on it, just come to Wolfsburg and don't make your conclusions too fast.

hope to see your this year;)

Greetings, Dennis Dremmen
