Hallo!
Yesterday I received a GeburtsUrkunde from the VW Museum Wolfsburg.
Car is Ancona mettalic (as we already know) and the interior is Stoff Yellowstone instead of the beautiful matching green interior I have now!
It has Z08 and M576
Destination: Amersfoort / Leusden (Pon Netherlands)
But strange thing I saw is the building date... Nicht registriert....??
Ausgeliefert ab Werk am: 5. Juli 1974
As we can check the registers we all know it is built mai but why doesn't the museum have such information? They shipped it just after about 2 months?
Maybe some 'insiders' who might have a reason why this took so long?
Thanks,
Michel
P.S I hope you know the story, read English but answer in German please!

it´s because the car was going into another country, that´s because this took so long, but that´s normal. I know about http://www.golf1-ig.de/galleries/members/car/dremmen1 ]another "Dutch" Golf 1, it was built april 1983, but first registration was juni 1983.
Strange in my opinion is, the museum didn´t know the building date.
Hi Guys and Girls,
Sorry for the VERY late response. I had forgotten this thread to be honest.
It is not the fact that it has a late registration, mine got on the road just in january 75, but it's the day it left the factory wich makes it interesting! Why did they keep it for about 2 months at the factory before shipping it to Pon/Netherlands? It is indeed strange that they can't tell me wich day it is manufactured...
I'm planning to get my APK (some sort of TUV) next year and drive the car as is, even lowered.... Not everybody's taste maybe but I don't like the fact that the car is just waiting in storage. Restoration in the future will be 100% stock so don't worry for the purists 😉
Michel
